GloPID-R Member Space – Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using the GloPID-R Member Space (“Member Space”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (“Terms”) and our Supplementary Privacy Notice. If you do not agree with these Terms, you may not use the Member Space.

2. Purpose and Scope

The Member Space is a secure platform for representatives of GloPID-R Member and Observer Organizations to collaborate, share information, and communicate directly. Use of the Member Space is restricted to authorized representatives and the GloPID-R Secretariat.

3. User Obligations

a. Eligibility
Access is granted only to representatives of GloPID-R Member and Observer Organizations. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials.

b. Professional Conduct
You agree to use the Member Space solely for professional purposes related to GloPID-R’s mission. Any misuse (e.g., spam, harassment, commercial solicitation, or unauthorized data sharing) may result in immediate termination of access.

c. Content and Communication
All content uploaded or shared (e.g., comments, documents, media) must be relevant, professional, and respectful. You retain ownership of your content but grant GloPID-R a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, reproduce, and distribute it within the Member Space.

By providing your professional email address, you consent to other members contacting you for GloPID-R-related purposes. You may adjust email visibility in your profile settings.

4. Confidentiality and Data Protection

All information shared within the Member Space is confidential and intended solely for authorized members. You agree not to disclose, distribute, or use any information obtained from the Member Space for non-GloPID-R purposes. Data protection is governed by our Supplementary Privacy Notice and the GloPID-R General Privacy Policy.

5. Intellectual Property

The Member Space platform, its design, and all GloPID-R-branded materials are the intellectual property of GloPID-R or its licensors. You may not reproduce, modify, or distribute any part of the Member Space without prior written permission.

6. Termination of Access

GloPID-R reserves the right to suspend or terminate your access to the Member Space at any time, with or without cause, including but not limited to:

• Violation of these Terms or applicable laws.
• Misuse of the platform or member data.
• Inactivity or cessation of your affiliation with a GloPID-R Member or Observer Organization.

7. Disclaimers and Liability

The Member Space is provided “as is” and “as available.” GloPID-R does not warrant that the platform will be error-free or uninterrupted. GloPID-R is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Member Space. You agree to indemnify and hold harmless GloPID-R, its affiliates, and representatives from any claims or damages resulting from your use of the platform or violation of these Terms.

8. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by the laws of Germany. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the Member Space will be resolved exclusively in the courts of Berlin, Germany.

9. Changes to These Terms

GloPID-R may update these Terms at any time. Continued use of the Member Space after such changes constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms. We will notify you of significant changes via email or a prominent notice on the platform.
